Toilet repairs

Toilet Repairs and WC Fitting Across Greater Manchester

A toilet that runs constantly can waste more water in a week than the repair costs to put right, and a leak at the pan connector will quietly ruin a floor.

Most toilet faults are parts we carry: fill valves, flush valves, syphons, seals and connectors. That means the majority of jobs are done and tested in a single visit.

Problems we're called out to

  • Toilet keeps running

A worn fill or flush valve letting water trickle into the pan around the clock.

  • Weak or no flush

Failed syphon, split diaphragm or a flush valve that isn't seating — common on older cisterns.

  • Leak at the base

Water pooling behind the pan, usually a failed pan connector, cistern seal or loose fixing.

  • Blocked pan

Water rising and draining slowly. Cleared, then checked for whatever caused it.

  • Loose or rocking pan

Movement that breaks the waste seal and eventually cracks the fitting. Refixed properly.

  • Cracked cistern or pan

Hairline cracks that only leak when full — replacement is the only honest fix here.

Repairs and replacements

We'll always say when a repair is the sensible option and when you're better off replacing. Chasing parts for a 30-year-old close-coupled suite sometimes costs more than a new one, and we'd rather tell you that up front.

  • Fill valves, flush valves, syphons and diaphragms replaced
  • Pan connectors and cistern seals renewed
  • Close-coupled, back-to-wall and concealed cistern WCs fitted
  • Isolation valves added so the next repair doesn't mean draining the house
  • New waste and supply connections tested before we leave

Concealed cisterns and wall-hung WCs

Concealed frames look excellent and are far less forgiving when something fails behind the panel. We fit them with access in mind and check the frame is properly fixed and the waste has the right fall, because a hidden leak in a boxed-in cistern is an expensive thing to find late.

Landlords and rented properties

Toilets are one of the most common tenant call-outs we get. We can attend, repair and report back in one loop, with an itemised invoice you can put straight into your records. If a tenant has flushed something they shouldn't, we'll say so plainly rather than leaving you guessing.

Common questions

Can you repair a leaking toilet in one visit?
Usually, yes. We carry the common valves, seals and connectors, so most faults are fixed on the first visit. If a specific part needs ordering, we'll make it safe and come back.
My toilet is running constantly — is that urgent?
Not dangerous, but it's wasting water continuously and on a metered supply it adds up fast. It's normally a quick, inexpensive fix.
Can you fit a toilet I've bought myself?
Yes. Bring it home and we'll fit it — just keep the fixings and instructions, and check the waste position matches what's already there or tell us so we can plan for it.
Do you take the old suite away?
Yes, we remove and dispose of the old unit and leave the room clean.
